Changelog

What changed in each version of Jupiter Jots, newest first.

  1. Version 2.0.0

    Latest

A rebuild from the ground up. Jupiter Jots is now one app across Chrome’s toolbar, side panel and a full-screen library.

    New

    • One app in three places. The popup, the side panel and the full-screen library share the same library and the same controls.
    • Nested collections. Put collections inside collections as deep as you need, each with its own icon, emoji or site logo, and colour.
    • Import into named collections. Imports from Chrome, bookmarks HTML, CSV or a JSON backup go into a collection you name. Folders become collections inside it with their nesting kept, duplicates are skipped, and any import can be undone.
    • Page descriptions. Saving a page keeps its own description and preview image, and search looks through them.
    • Custom site shortcuts. Set up to nine keyboard shortcuts that each open a site you choose.
    • Tag filtering. Filter the library by tags, together with collection, favourites, archive and date.
    • Insights. See what you open, when, and which saves you never go back to. The activity log stays on your device and can be paused or cleared.
    • New logo.

    Also

    • Save with Alt Shift S or from the right-click menu, for pages and links.
    • Saving a page you already have tells you instead of creating a duplicate.
    • Library health finds duplicate bookmarks and lets you merge them.
    • Export everything, or one collection, as JSON, bookmarks HTML or CSV.
  2. Version 1.x

    , beta

    The first public beta.

    • Save bookmarks from the popup and side panel.
    • Organise them with tags and collections.
    • Add notes to bookmarks.
    • Search and filter by collection or tag.
